Features
- SMB Female Connector for Use with our Polaris® Mirror Mounts with Piezoelectric Adjusters
- Available Cables:
- Right-Angle SMB Female to BNC Male
- Straight SMB Female to BNC Male
- Straight SMB Female to SMC Female
- 50 Ω Impedance
- Flexible Tubing with 0.40" (10.2 mm) Minimum Bend Radius
- No Bare Brass, Suitable for Use in Laser Systems
These cables each have an SMB female connector on one end for use with our Polaris® mirror mounts with piezoelectric adjusters. Our right-angle SMB-BNC, straight SMB-BNC, and straight SMB-SMC cables are each available in 12", 24", 48", or 72" lengths, with an additional 36" version of the right-angle cable. The BNC and right-angle SMB connectors are made of nickel-plated brass, while the SMC and straight SMB connectors are made of gold-plated brass. The RG-174 (Item # prefixes PAA3) and RG-178 (Item # prefixes PAA2) coaxial cables are flexible enough to reach a minimum bend radius of 0.40", making these cables ideal for use in space-constrained setups. We also offer cable racks below for neat cable management.
All the cables sold by Thorlabs that have an SMB connector on at least one end are displayed on this page. The links in the table below will take you to web pages containing our other varieties of electrical cables.

- Available in 12", 24", 36", 48", or 72" Lengths
- 50 Ω Impedance
- DC - 3 GHz Frequency Range
- 1000 V (RMS) Dielectric Withstanding Voltage
- RG-178 Tubing with 0.40" (10.2 mm) Minimum Bend Radius
- Ø0.07" (Ø1.8 mm) Cable Diameter
These cables have a right-angle, SMB female connector on one end and a straight, BNC male connector on the other. These SMB cables can be used with our line of Polaris® mirror mounts with piezoelectric adjusters, which can be driven via these cables by our open-loop piezo controllers. The connectors are made of nickel-plated brass. The RG-178 coaxial cable is flexible enough to reach a minimum bend radius of 0.40", and the 90° SMB connector allows the cable to be connected in tight areas without putting lateral force on the connection, making this cable ideal for use in space-constrained setups.
